WHITES
Bourgogne Aligote 80
Fresh and tight. Quite grassy. It’s all stainless steel. It’s very fresh. It’s classic.
Bourgogne Blanc 83

Ripe and juicy. It’s rounded and has a savoury minerality. Only a young vineyard producing a very nice Bourgogne.
Chassagne-Montrachet 90
Bright and rather energetic; citrus. Floral and very well balanced.
Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Chênes 91
This is deeper and has more layering and good acidity. It’s longer. Firmer finish with and edge of smooth minerality.
2022-25
From two parcels - one has some small stones and one has more clay.
Puligny-Montrachet, Noyers Brets 91
Very aromatic. It’s straight, pure and light and floral. This is lovely.
Saint Aubin, Sentier du Clos 91
Laurent replanted in this place 12 years ago - first vintage in 2009. The clay level is very low. Super fresh and straight, elegant, racy, savoury, mineral, tight. Good persistence. 17.75
Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Vergers 93
Smooth, juicy and it has supple minerality on the finish. So pure and smooth. 18  2022-28
The ploughing has changed this vineyard immensely Laurent thinks, now it shows the minerality.
Chassagne-Montrachet, Champgains 91
Rich, ginger and crystallised fruits. Heavier, denser and fuller. Lower toned. 17.5  2022-28
Chassagne-Montrachet, Morgeots 95
From Petit Clos largely, but not exclusively. Deep, compact, tense, vigorous, this is good. 18.5
Chassagne-Montrachet, Fairendes 90
Lighter and more floral and silky. But it’s a bit relaxed. 17.25
Chassagne-Montrachet, Vide Bourse
Powerful, but too reduced to comment properly now. It’s square and dense and compact. Lots of structure.
Chassagne-Montrachet, Grandes Ruchottes 95
Ripe aromatics and fruit. Super juicy and slightly tropical. It’s underpinned with minerality and freshness. Juxtaposition. Ripe/fresh finish. 18.5
  2023-32
Meursault, Caillerets 95
Immediately like this. Compact, layered, tight and strong. Ripe, but powerful cold and persistent finish. 18.75
  2020-35

REDS
Bourgogne 83
Juicy and fresh, dark fruit, it has a bit of grip and good firm tannins. Like the tannic bite.
Santenay, Prarons Dessus 83
Single vineyard. Lots of stones and drains easily. Plentiful red fruits, Succulent mid palate, smooth tannins, some spice and nicely balanced. 15.5
Chassagne-Montrachet, Vieilles-Vignes 88
Full-bodied, density, powerful and generous and spicy. The tannins are quite chunky. It’s honest and burly. 16.5
  2023-28
Volnay 89
Ripe red fruit aromas. Sweet and juicy, succulent summer fruits. This is quite young vine. Soft and juicy tannins. Very approachable. 16.5
2022-28
Pommard, Tavannes 90
A single vineyard below the train station. Below Croix blanche. 0.8 hectares. Old vines. A bit of pinot gris in the field blend - a tiny percentage. Good genetic material here - so they are using it for a massale selection repeating other vineyards. Elegant, surprisingly smooth and juicy. It’s a light and rather delicate Pommard with sweetness and energy and subtly. Fresh finish. Light tannins. 16.85
Beaune, Premier Cru Boucherottes 89
Half old vines and half 20 year old on 161-49 and here is problem with the root stock. The ph is always a problem here if you leave it too long. The tannins are soft. It is quite succulent. Just enough acidity. 16.75 2023-28
Chassagne-Montrachet, Morgeot
Old vines, low yield. Dense and rich and spicy. Powerful and broad. Generous tannins. Dark. Porty even and the moment, but I am sure this will slim and settle. Too early now.. .17.75+
  2024-32
Chassagne-Montrachet, Clos Saint Jean 93

Old vines and Laurent will replant in white probably. Smooth and rather elegant. Sophisticated texture for Chassagne with freshness and floral notes and good persistence. 18
  2024-28
Pommard, Clos de Vergers 92
Smooth, supple, easy, dark fruits, just nicely balanced acidity. 17.80 Quite rocky soil and very hot in the afternoon and cold morning 2024-30
Pommard, Charmots 93

This has a tension and minerality. Silky tannins, fine texture, freshness and cold sapidity and minerality on the finish. 18
 2024-30

“A tiny top soil, difficult to plough and to plant as it’s really rocks south and more east facing.”
Pommard, Rugiens 96

Half in Haut and bas, but this year as re-planting have more haut. 9 barrels. 47 ares.
Cold reserved and pure. Tight, compact and has tension and minerality. Long and vibrant mineral finish. Just the sort of wine I like. Score 18.95.
