The vines started to grow later this year because of a wet and cold spring. Grape flowering took place near June 20th. Hopefully July was very hot and the vines largely benefitted from it. However and following this hot period, a hail storm affected the area of Beaune on July 23rd. Our vineyard on this area which understands Volnay Pommard and Beaune were strongly impacted. Approximately half of the harvest was destroyed. Fortunately, our vines on Chassagne-MT, Puligny-MT, St Aubin and Santenay are to date superb. At the beginning of September, maturity is already well engaged, the grapes mature under a very beautiful sun and the grape harvest is expected for the beginning of October.
