Fernand and Laurent Pillot certified Organic Farm

Our estate has taken a decisive step by fully committing to organic farming from the 2021 harvest.

For several years now, we have been working towards a more environmentally-friendly viticulture. Reducing chemical inputs, meticulously working the soil without weedkiller since 2012, preserving biodiversity: these are all practices that have prepared the way for the official switch to organic farming.

Obtaining the AB label from the 2024 harvest is the culmination of this approach. This choice reflects a strong desire to offer exceptional wines while respecting the fragile balance of the Burgundy terroir.

Organic farming is based on a more attentive approach to the vines, favouring manual and natural practices. For our estate, this means more rigorous soil management, the use of natural treatments and absolute respect for the vine's cycle.

Going organic not only transforms the way our vineyards are run, it also influences the wines themselves. Future vintages promise even greater authenticity, expression of terroir and balance, with grapes grown in ideal conditions and vinified in their original purity.

By adopting organic farming methods, we are affirming our commitment to sustainable viticulture. We are keen to pass on to future generations living, preserved soils, in keeping with the values that have always guided Pillot Fernand et Laurent.
