The climatologies of 2021 and 2022 were opposite.

2021 was impacted in April by a severe frost of the buds. What followed was a mixed summer of rain and sun. This capricious weather led us to harvest at the end of September. Harvest volumes were in fact very low. This 2021 vintage is characterized by great aromatic purity: the taste potential of the wines is there and the sugar-acid balances find typical characteristics appreciated by lovers of Burgundy wines.

We harvested the 2022 vintage in August! As in 2020, the summer of 2022 showed us, if necessary, that global warming is indeed present. After a hot and humid spring when the vines took advantage, the summer was very hot and dry. The conditions were ideal to perfect the maturity of the grapes. Only 4 months after the harvest, all the fermentations are finished and the wines continue to mature in wood. From now on, this 2022 vintage promises pretty gourmet, concentrated and structured wines for laying down.
